UBC Class Visits
- Free.
- Must be booked through the Nitobe Memorial Garden Gatehouse at 604-822-0238.
- Two weeks notice is required for reservations or cancellations.
Wedding Photographs
- $250 plus the cost of entrance fees for each person (maximum 15 people).
- Must be booked through the UBC Botanical Garden Gatehouse at 604-822-4208 or the Nitobe Memorial Garden Gatehouse at 604-822-0238.
- Two weeks notice is required for reservations or cancellations.
Please note: Wedding ceremonies are not allowed in Nitobe Memorial Garden.
Group Visits (without a Guided Tour)
- 10% off the regular price for groups of ten or more. This discount does not apply to guided tours, professional tour companies or weddings.
- Must be booked through the Nitobe Memorial Garden Gatehouse at 604-822-0238.
- Two weeks notice is required for reservations or cancellations.
Guided Tours
- Free plus the cost of entrance fees at UBC Botanical Garden or the entrance fees at Nitobe Memorial Garden. Discounted rates for groups do not apply to the guided tours.
- Groups of 5 or 10 can book guided tours on the UBC Botanical Garden visitor carts (only available in the summer months, not available in Nitobe Memorial Garden), while guided walking tours are available to groups of 8 and up. Guided tour of UBC Botanical Garden are approximately 90 minutes, while guided tours of Nitobe Memorial Garden are approximately 60 minutes.
- The UBC Botanical Garden Gatehouse at 604-822-4208 arranges UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden tour reservations and cancellations.
- Two weeks notice is required for reservations. A credit card number is required to reserve a tour, as tours cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged a $35 cancellation fee (note: this cancellation fee also applies to tour groups with free entrance fees (e.g., garden members). It is the responsibility of the customer to cancel the tour with at least 24 hours notice if they deem the weather inappropriate for their tour group.
- Tours are led by knowledgeable and helpful Friends of the Garden. These volunteers have been involved with the interpretation of UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden for over twenty years.
