What can visitors expect?
Visitors to Nitobe Memorial Garden can expect an experience rich with meaning and culture. Nitobe Memorial Garden is a tranquil garden that lends itself to thought and contemplation.
When is the best time to visit?
Although the garden is enjoyed by many people throughout the year, special times of interest are April and May while the cherries are in blossom, June for the irises and September to mid-October for the autumn colour of the maples. Visiting the garden after one of Vancouver's rare snowfalls is also be a rewarding experience.
How long does it take to tour the garden?
Allow a minimum of one hour for a casual stroll of the garden. Nitobe Memorial Garden is best enjoyed when time is available for thought and reflection.
Are pets allowed?
No pets are allowed within the garden.
What visitor facilities are available?
No food or washroom facilities are available at the garden. The nearest washroom facilities are in the Asian Centre which is opposite the entrance to the garden.
